Default IIS application pool settings can slow things down. We recommend the following changes to the settings for the application pool being used by the Business Tools. You access these settings from the IIS Manager.
Right-click on the application pool that supports the Business Tools and select Advanced Settings....
Make these changes:
• Set Start Mode to AlwaysRunning:
Disable Idle Time-out by setting the value to 0:
In the Recycling section,
o Disable Regular Time Interval by setting the value to 0
o Schedule an off-peak time for recycling in Specific Times. In the example, we set it to recycle at 3am:
o Disable Virtual Memory Limit by setting the value to 0:
This completes the performance tuning.
